How to login to your email account and find your SMTP, POP3, IMAP connection details

This tutorial will help you find your email server SMTP/POP3/IMAP connection details inside cPanel for your email account (i.e. email@yourdomainname.com). Let’s get started;

To log into your email account and access your emails and email settings you'll need to have your full email address and password.

  1. Go to "YourDomain.com/webmail" where YourDomain.com is your domain name.
  2. Enter your full email address as the username and password. 
  3. Click "Log In"
  4. Once logged in you will be able to controll all the options for your specific email account.
    • Autoresponders
    • Filters & Forwarders
    • Update your password
    • Control Spam filters
    • Track email delivery
    • Recover disk space
    • ...and more
  5. To connect your email to an email client such as Outlook, Mail.app, Thuderbird, iPhone, Andriod or other device you may use Manual or Automatic settings to establish the connection.
  6. You can set up your Mail Client automatically by using the "Setup email on your device" section or the "Automatically configure my device" link.
  7. You will be brought to a "Mail Client Automatic Configuration Scripts" section. Choose between the Application you would like to use and the proper Protocol to connect with. You MUST use a secure method of connection. Non-SSL connections are not allowed.
  8. You can set up your Mail Client manually by selecting by using the ""Configure mail Client" link at the bottom of the page.
  9. You will be brought to a "Mail Client Manual Settings" section. Here you will find the SMTP, POP3 and IMAP settings to connect your mail client or device to your email account. Note: Non-SSL settings may not be used.
