How to setup email account in cPanel
Now that you have logged into your cPanel account, this tutorial will help you set up an email account for your website e.g. email@yourdomainname.com. Let’s get started;
- Log into your cPanel account.
- Upon successful login to your account, you will find a screen similar to the one shown below in Fig. 1.
- Scroll down until you see the Mail section in the main body of the page as shown below in Fig. 2.
- Click the Email Accounts icon which will take you to a page as shown in Fig. 3.
- The first section on this page is consist of an email creation form that has multiple fields.
- Below this form, there is another section where previously created email addresses will be listed.
- For now, there will be no email addresses in the second section.
- Enter the details in the Email Form and Click the Create Account to create your first email account.
- Enter the username for your email address e.g. email in our case. This will be the first part of your email address i.e. the part that comes before the @ symbol
- Please note that you should not write the @yourdomainname here in this field as it is already selected.
- Enter your desired password manually by typing in the respective field or click the Password Generator button to generate a password automatically.
- If you click Password Generator button, it will show a pop-up window with the random password generated, a button to regenerate a random password and a checkbox to verify that you have copied the random password somewhere safe. When you verify that you have saved the random password generated, it will allow you to continue the process.
- Enter the same password again in the next field
- You can specify the storage capacity for your email address in the Email Quota field.
- Finally, click the Create Account button to create your email account.
- Your new email address is now added to the list.
